Joseph's Legacy is a foster based organization run by volunteers, meaning we do not have a central, public location to visit animals at. All of our adoptable pets are housed in foster homes, meaning we are unable to accommodate same day adoptions. 

Our organization is run by volunteers, meaning it can take a few days to a few weeks to hear back about your application, especially when we receive a large amount of requests for a specific animal.

We do respond to every inquiry and application we receive, so we thank you for your patience as we grow our programs and volunteer base. 

Our Process

• Fill out our adoption application at one of the links below

• Once your application is received, one of our volunteer adoption counselors will contact you within one to two weeks to complete adoption counseling over the phone. 

• After your application has been approved, the foster of the animal you've applied for will reach out to set up a meet and greet with you.

• Once you've met the pet and have decided it's a good fit, you'll complete our adoption contract and pay the adoption fee and take your new friend home!

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older with a valid drivers license or state issued ID. 

• Must be allowed to own pets at your residence

• Must be willing to consent to a home visit before the adoption is finalized

• Must pay the adoption fee at the time of finalization by cash or card (no checks)
